As the Charmander hunt and kill, eventually one of them will evolve further into Charmeleon. Once evolved, these Pokemon begin to gain a dominance over their pre-evolved brethren, forming small hunting packs of 3 or 4. The Charmeleon then will rarely include themselves into the hunt until the prey has already been mostly subdued.
